fear not the stillness my child

nor loneliness or the piercing silence

for only in the depths of your solitude,
amidst tears yearning for what once was,
                      will you find what you seek

allow the tears to blanket you whole,
so they may serve as an embrace

to see that just beyond the shadow 
lies a world that’s filled with knowing

for beneath the moonlight,
nothing is ever lost
                       not even you

it is time to welcome stillness, 
welcome her without reserve or escape

what we fear might swallow us
is asking to hold us in its arms forever
